OGDEN VALLEY FAILS TO COraCT FOB SUGAR BEETS In response to a communication requesting re-questing information as to what acreage acre-age of sugar beets could be contracted contract-ed for near Huntsville. the beets to be loaded at that place, as a matter of inducement and justification for the Ogden-Logan ft Idaho Railway company com-pany extending its interurban car service to that district, farmers have reported only sixty-four acres for beet culture In small individual tracts. Representatives of the sugar company com-pany say that it would not pav to contract for so small en acreage, especially in small tracts, as it has been the rule that farmers planting only a few acres of beets do not at tend to their cultivation as they should. The company has talked sugar su-gar beets to the farmers of the valley val-ley the past two or three yetirs, but they sa tho t armors do not get sufficiently suf-ficiently interested in that line of agriculture to justify the signing of contracts.
