tlT CLICK SEASON TO BE EXTENDED IN UTAH At a meeting of about fifty resi -dents of Ogden who are Interested in the fish and game laws of the state in the court house last evening, Alex Brewer, former mayor. Oscar Mad-son, Mad-son, former chairman of the county l board of commissioners, and Moroni i Skeen, present members of the board i of county commissioners, were selected select-ed to represent Weber county at a conference of sportsmen with State Fish and Game Commissioner Fred YV Chambers, in Salt Iyike, Monday ' night. The representative? for Weber , I COOnty will go tr the meeting with some well defined ideas respecting ' the present fish and game laws and also with suggestions for new laws It was the voice of the meeting last evening that the duck season be me.de longer and that It should bepln September 1. The olnr count sportsmen are opposed to a proposed repeal of the "sink box" law on the grounds that It is no worse than any other blind and that it gives non-members non-members of a elnb organization an op portunity to get a chance for some good shooting It was al6o decided that there should be a eason for dove shooting It is said by hunters to bo the best shooting in the field and that there can be no possibility of exterminating the bird with a shooting season from about July 1 to January 1. The meeting last night expressed the Idea that all irrigation ditches snould be carefully screened, so as to prevent fish from passing out to the farm lands where destruction is certain. nri
