Jan. 30 Invitation was extended to the Utah senate yester day to attend a dinner at the Com mercial club next Monday night to discuss tho prohibition bill with Salt Lake and Ogden bankers and business busi-ness men The Invitation was expended ex-pended by the committees representing represent-ing big business investments in the state appointed several days ago to protest against radical prohibition legislation at this time. Members of the senate heard the invitation read at their session yesterday yes-terday It came up in tho order of business under the head of "communications." "commu-nications." and when It had been read the president ordered It received and filed There was no comment from the senate, it being left to each sena tor to accept or decline the Invita-tlon Invita-tlon as he sens fit. Here Is the text of the Invitation-To Invitation-To the Hon. "VY Mont Ferry, president presi-dent of the senate, and senators of the Eleventh session of tho Utah legislature "Gentlemen: It Is proposed by certain cer-tain pending bills now before the legislature leg-islature of Utah to make radical changes chan-ges In the body of the laws of thin state These changes, if made, will have such an Important effect upon the affairs of the people of Utah that they may well be considered carefully care-fully before being enacted into law. "An invitation Is therefore respectfully respect-fully and cordially extended to you to be present at a dinner to bo given by the representatives of many of the business interests of Utah at the Commercial club on Monday.
