Show CHILDREN'S AID DOING A GREAT WORK. Once more the Standard calls attention at-tention to the great sympathetic work of the Children's Aid Society of Ogden. Og-den. with its Dispensary upstairs at 245S t-2 Washington avenue. This Is the only organization of the kind in the state. Women composing it go into the homes of the distressed, investigate, study the actual wants then they proceed to find ways and means to care for all worthy sufferers; suffer-ers; they open their Dispensary on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, from 2 to 5 o'clock, each week, whero the sick, the halt and blind seek them out and ask whether human kindness can do anything for them; they receive re-ceive at the Dispensary little children whose toes stick out of leaky shoes and they send them away with dry atoeUnga and new shoes; they find kiddles with paralyzed legs, swollen tonsils and depressing adenoids and they convey them to the hospital th'-ro to be operated on; they take babies out of squalor and place them in homes, after they have assurances of the treatment those children are to receive; they receive beautifully I laundered dresses from prosperous , i i . the children oT whom have out-uovn out-uovn the clothing, and they take tvom the backs of little ones the tat i tered garments of poverty and place I thereon these pretty fabrics; they ! sud trained nurses into homes and i the visitations often are so unexpect-' unexpect-' ed and mean so much more than had I been hoped for, mothers and fathers break down and cry and declare angels an-gels of mercy have answered their silent si-lent prayers. Yesterday the women bad three operations performed at the Dee hospital, hos-pital, one on a boy of seven suffering the effects of infantile paralysis, and they have three more surgical operations opera-tions to be conducted next week. The leading physicians of tho city, let it be said to their great credit, are giving their services gratis. Men and women outside the organization are beginning to inquire as to what it all means, and. as a result, we predict pre-dict th Children's Aid will grow Into one of the great institutions of the city and slate.
