We carried yesterdav 1600 meters (about 1600 yards) of trench es, and this morning the Germans held in strength on the plateau onlv two isolated positions of some meters We carried these this afternoon, taking tak-ing 160 prisoners We have thus attained at-tained one of the principal objectives of our operations of the last few days Further to the north In the forest of Ailly we have maintained all the giound gained 200 meters on a front of 400 meters and repulsed three counter attacks. In the forest of Montmare the Germans Ger-mans made fifteen attacks to retake trenches which we wrested from them yesterday. They were repulsed fifteen times. Heaps of German bodies are lying on the ground. On the rest of the front actions to be reported are rr follows. In Belgium, near Drei Grachten, the Germans by an attack occupied part of a trench on the left hank of the Yser, while the Belgians made attack, at-tack, debouching not far from the spot on the right bank and installed there a bridge head Vigorous Attaoks.
