Show CHARGES THAT TATE CUFFED HER 10 WAS CRUEL Tn her petition for divorce In the district court. Mis. May Tate avers that for some time past Flovd Tate, her husband, has been cruel She says' that he has heen of a nagging, quarrelsome quar-relsome disposition and has assaulted her on various occasions by striking, cuffing, slapping her and swearing She also avers that in March of this year the defendant struck her and knocked her against the bed. The plaintiff also clalmu that the defendant undertook to induct; her to take a potion po-tion of medicine for improper purposes, pur-poses, and that during most of the time he has failed to pre Ide the necessities ne-cessities of life. It Is stated in the petition that the parties were married May 3, 1911, and there are two children Mrs Tate asks for the care and custody of the children, costs of suit and attorney fees, the community property, and an order restraining tiie defendant from disposing of the household effects or from visiting the home. Marie Gassett Ellis has also com menced divorce proceedings against her husband, John K. Ellis, on the ground of failure to provide. She asks for restoration of her maiden name, Marie Gassett. cost? of suit and general gen-eral relief.
