S Literary society, socie-ty, was presented at the Ogden high school jesterdav morning for tho purpose pur-pose of arousing Interest in the four literary societies of the school. A JUNIORS DANCE. Tho Weber academy juniors gave an overall and sack apron dam in party last evening in the Fourth ward hall which was thoroughly enjoyed hy everyone present. WEST OGDEN SOCIAL AND DANCE The Young Men "6 and Young Ladies Lad-ies Mutual Improvement Associations of the West Ogden Ward, which have recently been organized, are Koing to give a dance and social next Wednesday Wednes-day evening, which marks the first meeting night of the organizations. The handsome new L. D. S. meeting house at West Ogden is nearlng completion, com-pletion, and the young people intend holding tho affair In the basement of the building which has been fitted Tilh an excellent dance floor and other oth-er aocommrdatJons for amusements. All Mutual Improvement workers and their friends aro invited, to the end that the first meeting may be as sue ccssful as the officers anticipate. METHODIST LADIES' AID. The Ladies' Aid of the Methodist church will meet at the deaconess home, 2322 Jefferson avenue. Thurs day. April 15, at 2:30 p. m. The officers of-ficers of the Aid. Mrs. George Craig, Mrs. S. H. Cole, Mr. W. W. Gillies ,ind Mrs E Lehonian will entertain. All are most cordially Invited. CHAUTAUQUA READING CIRCLE. The Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Sci-entific Circle will meet on Tuesdav evening at 8:30 at home of Mrs J. G. Fakk 44G Seventeenth street. The last book in this course of study will be taken up. "Your Child of Today and Tomorrow" by Sldone Matyner Greenberg. Dr. Alice M. Ridge will give a resume re-sume of the first four chapters Rev. Frank G. Bminerd will take the next three chapters. After both or these talks discussions will follow The chapters to be considered are: I You and your child. 2. The, problem of punishment 3 When your child Imagines things. 1 The lies children tell. 5. Being afraid. 6 The first great law. 7 The training of the will. These subjects are of much interest inter-est to all parents, especially, and as the invitation includes all who wish to come, there is promise for a large attendance. Only one more regular meeting is required to complete the year's work fhoush the Circle may decide to hold several taking a Keneral review and completing not only this year's work, but the four years' courBe. There wll bo time given at the regular reg-ular Chautauqua assembly for Recognition Recog-nition day of the graduating class.
