Show UTAH CANNED GOODS ADE TO INVADE NORTHWEST I H L Herrington, secretary of the Utah Canners' association, has returned return-ed from a ten-day "scouting" trip to the Pacific Northwest In a conversation conver-sation this morning he spoke very optimistically op-timistically of the possibility of the Utah canners getting a solid footing in the markets of that territory on the basis of the new freight rates granted by the Harrlman lines through B L Wlnehell, director of transportation. While away, Mr. Herrington inves tigated the market condition for canned cann-ed goods in Portland, La Grande and Baker City, Ore,; Tacoma, Spokane. Seattle and Walla Walla, Wash . and Pocatello, Ida,, and found that the local lo-cal canners can get in strong with their goods. He also said that the further-wn-cesslons granted through Mr. Win-chell Win-chell to Montana points would make possible the placing of Utah goods on ' tho markets of Billings. Great Falls and Bozcman in competition with the canners of other states and that this would prove a boon to the local people. peo-ple.
