W. Xibley, Mr. and Mrs. George Albert Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph F. Smith, Jr. The party left Salt Lake November Novem-ber 19 and made the first stop at Independence. In-dependence. Mo . whore a new $25,000 Mormon chapel was dedicated After that the Mormon official visited Memphis, Mem-phis, Chattanooga. Atlanta. Jacksonville Jackson-ville N'ew Augustine. Houston, San Antonio, El Paso and Los Angeles. Conferences with missionaries of the Mormon church and public meetings wore held in all these cities. President Smith said that the trip developed a much friendlier feeling for Rlormons among the people of the south Members of his party, he said, were cordially received overyvher- The public meetings were well attended attend-ed and by representatl e people in every community visited. fr |
