Show WILSON ASKED TO STAY SENTENCES Washington, D. C, April 16. President Pres-ident Wilson waB asked by a delegation delega-tion from the senate and house today to request Attorney General McRey-nolds McRey-nolds to obtain from the circuit court of appeals at Chicago a stay of execution exe-cution for the twenty-seven labor leaders sentenced to Fort Leavenworth Leaven-worth for complicity In the dvnamite conspiracy. They asked the president to stay the sentences until he had an oppor tunity to review all the proceedings and the application for pardon. The president promised to give the cases careful consideration. In the delegation dele-gation were Representative Buchanan. Buchan-an. Gallagher, Gorman and Graham of Illinois; Logue of Pennsylvania; Nolan No-lan and Kettner of California; Grosser Gros-ser of Ohio, and Senators Lane and Lewis. " |
