Martin was arraigned in Judge Howell's court this morning for sentence, District Attorney John C, Davis stated that the defendant's attorney, Soren X. Chrlstensen, had requested that sentence be not passed until next Monday and that he was willing that tho continuance be granted. grant-ed. On the statement of the district attorney, Judgo Howell granted the extension of time. Martin was In the court room only a few minutes, during which time he appeared cheerful. He says that unless un-less there should be sudden changes In the program, his attorney will seek a new trial, either by motion before Judge Howell or In an appeal to the supreme court. |
