In the afternoon tree planting exercises exer-cises were held in the grounds of the Huntsvillo and Middleton ward meeting meet-ing houses. At the former place, John Felt, who has resided in the valloy for 43 years and who is now 95 years old, planted a pine tree. At Middleton, Mid-dleton, trees were planted by Hon. David McKay, Bishop John Hall, Hans Schow and E. P. Bingham. Mr. Schow Is 89 years old and has lived in the valley since 1S64. Mr. Bingham Bing-ham entered the valley In 1857 and assisted his father to build the first cabin there. The celebration was closed with a social and dance In tho Peterson hall. nn |
