WILL ATTACK POTTER bishop to be sued fop obtaining money under false pretense new york dec 2 rev R C fil langham vicar of hexton england who a year ago violently attacked bishop potter returned here last night to expound a new cult which he calls tho new liberal movement in religion he says it was a success in Georgia and tomorrow night he will tell what it Is at a public meeting which he baa called dr said last night that he would take action against bishop potter before the law courts and the ecclesiastical courts charging him with receiving moneys under false pretense explaining this action the vicar said 1 I have not given up my fight against ritualism in our churan notwithstanding tho act that I 1 am now promulgating a new religious movement to do away with dogma and ritualism I 1 want 10 see ritualism driven from the of our church and will always work to that end now it should be known that every bishop in the protestant episcopal church at his consecration takes an oath to preserve tho church along the lines it was founded it was founded as a protest against this very thing I 1 am fighting high ritualism confessionals and the like bishop potter I 1 maintain has violated this pledge and by receiving moneys to keep such churches as st alary the virgin st ignateus Ignat lus and others takes such money under a balsa falsa pretense hence my proposed action
