Show f NEW BIDS FOR WATER BONDS provo utah nov 7 at the ing of the city council last evening H M tingle appeared before the council in behalf of N W harris co and made a third bid for the water works and electric light bonds this bid was or premium for 4 13 1 3 per cent 10 and 20 year bonds this is one half per cent higher interest than proposed tor fiscal services etc arc not ached for in this bid TUG bad was not accepted but on motion of councilman decher tho mayor and the recorder were authorized to ask bids tor 4 12 1 2 per cent bonds to be received not later than november 20 A communication was received from mayor roylance calling attention to the closing of the road through rocco ritas land which had made it necessary to abandon the rural route mall service tor a portion of the residents north of the state mental hospital to the inconvenience 0 the people residing in that district mayor roylando Roy lanco recommended that the matter be investigated vesti gated referred to the mayor the president of the council and the city attorney recorder presented the mayors veto of the salary ordinance councilman booth moved that the ordinance pasa notwithstanding the mayors objection thereto the motion was lost councilmen gray roberts bou and president snow voting against it councilman boota gave no 1 alce ne would hereafter refuse to for any change in the salary ardt i nance as he did not care to wait until he knew who the incoming officers were before he toted on their salaries |
