ith A ST tirria Tir rIP PAY ATTORNEYS IN WATER SUIT INSPECT THE GROUNDS water turned on a week said to bo not within 1500 feet of ogden river channel from thursdays standard attorneys maginnis bagley and macmullan accompanied by nathaniel montgomery president of the north ogden irrigation company visited the eden district yesterday to look over the ground in connection with the recent suits now pending in the courts with a view of familiarizing themselves with the true conditions of the existing controversy from another source it Is reported that an investigation made tuesday after the water had teen turned in the channel for one week shows that it Is not within 1500 feet of the ogden river channel this the eden people state bears out their contention that the water when turned down the regular channel passes off through other channels before it reaches the north ogden district to offset this the north ogden people contend that bad the water not been shut earlier in the season that it would not have passed into the ground or river bed in such quantities as to prevent some of it from reaching their section the eden people of course claim that earlier in the season they had the right ta turn the water off as at that season north ogden had all the water they required and that this would bring about the same condition overcoming contention of the other side
