LIVELY RUNAWAY japs had an exciting time while it lasted two japanese logan had an exciting time with a runaway team on twenty fourth street and for a while it looked as though they would bo seriously injured the men were driving a bay team hitched to a light runabout buggy and while crossing the twenty fourth street bridge the team became frightened at the locomotives that were running about the railroad yards and became unmanageable the japs also became excited and the team dashed up twenty fourth street swaying from side to side while the japs clung frantically to the seat of the ca niage at lincoln one of the men jumped from the rig and succeeded in reaching the ground without injury the other jap remained in the rig until near washington when the team swerved to one side running into a large furniture van breaking the pole and upsetting upa etting the buggy at the same time throwing the occupant on to the back of one of the horses which broke his tall the wagon unhindered by tho pole continued on its course while the polo became entangled in the feet of the team pinning them to the ground where they were secured the excitement was great it lasted and after it wao all over it was found that there were no broken bones and that the damage consisted of a broken pole a broken wheel and a damaged harness aside from a severo shaking ap pp the occupants received no injury A marriage licen been granted to roval II 11 butler 20 and miss assie M dauw 17 both of ogden
