Show DRUGGISTS MEET for the first time in ten years not many revival meetings are conducted in just the way that of the state pharmaceutical association was yesterday in salt lake but there was no denying tha fact that it was a revival meeting the minutes of the previous meeting read by C H mccoy showed that the date was june 25 1895 and the same record recalled to the minds 0 many in attendance names unused for some years the effort to revive the old association which has lain dormant for ten years past was due to the salt lake druggists association and the success of their efforts was plainly visible yesterday in the enthusiastic gath erang only two of the old officers were left to do the retiring for the old association dr george H fennemore of beaver the president and clarence H mccoy of salt lake the secretary two meetings were held yesterday besides the banquet in the evening boch of them being in the commercial club after a few informal business arrangements the association listened 10 the presidents address which dealt with the changed conditions of the past ten years and expressed ane hope that better results might attend the society from this time dr of ogden and others he spoke of the growth of th profession in that time from a mee mercantile calling to a recognized profession an aim of the association during its former years and closed with a plea for more interest and enthusiasm in the furthering of the plans of both local and national pharmaceutical associations the first capt of the day was read by john W culley of ogden and dealt wa the subject the retail druggist as a manufacturer mr culley made a both for the druggists and for their patrons in tavor of the local druggist being a manufacturing chem li at least in a small way he ogden SHIP GOES DOWN eighteen of her crew are reported drowned buenos ayris aug 23 A report has been received here of the founder inglot the british bark blaston hill the report states that eighteen of her crew are drowned the remainder who were saved are expected to arrive at buenos ayres by one ot tho argentina steamers the hill was a four masted bark built in liverpool in 1885 and by the blaston hlll company 0 liverpool she was commanded by captain jones and was 2434 ton measure she sailed from hamburg on may for san francisco the ogden choir toos a day sightseeing headed by president showered with congratulations and floral offerings several great bouquets of american beauty roses were given miss gates during the evening mcclellan and weihe were likewise remembered and prof ballantyne was not forgotten the local press this morning has much to say of his intelligent leadership and the astonishingly good chorus work of his singers their triumph will be repeated this evening with an attendance that will pack the great ball to the very doors for the interest in their appearance la widespread miss gates was introduced to the audience by homer davenport the famous cartoonist his speech was a gem and evoked much applause after tuesday nights concert the choir in a body was invited to the new york building where an informal reception was tendered them by the lieutenant governor of the empire state the choir sang a couple of selections and was heartily applauded they are to be the guests of the state of washington in their great fair home which is one of the finest of the exposition president goode of the fair and tom richardson of the commercial club are also arranging some function in their honor and yesterday they were Cali fornias guests the
