According to the statement of the detectives, the girls, who are 19 and 21 years old. found they had a short tlmo to lav over in Ogden when they reached this city They walked up Twenty-fifth street, looked over the business section of the city and then ate their breakfast in a cafe. When they walked out of the cafe and went down the street they met the colored porter who had charge of the car they camo In on, and he immediately got friondly with them. lie told them that If thoy wanted to kill time until un-til thoir train left, he would take them down Wall avenue a shoit distance to i a place where some vorv nice people lived, and where there would be music mu-sic and entertainment They didn't llko his story, but lhe finally went along, and when thev reached the house the door was opened bys a colored col-ored woman The two girls wero so frightened they were afraid to retreat, re-treat, so they went Into the house and took seats In tho parlor. People from across the street saw the girls enter the house with the colored man. and telephoned to the police Shortly Short-ly afterward the detectives took chaige of tho girls and started them pRstwaid on their train when the time arrived The colored man was locked up at the poiico station |
