Show ' uu- STRAW VOTE IN FAVOR TEDDY A traveling man who returned from southern Utah yesterday had a straw voto taken In three towns where he stopped with the result that Roosevelt defeated Taft In each place. Tho votes follow: Roosevelt. Taft. Parowan 91 29 Delta 41 19 Provo 175 SG Wherever straw votes were obtained obtain-ed Roosevelt moro doubled Taft's vote. A. P Moore of Pittsburg offered a wager of $500 that Taft would run fourth In the presidential race. Mr. Mooro based his bet on a canvass of the employes of one of the big mills of Pittsburg, which resulted as follows: fol-lows: Roosevelt, 2,762; Debs, 721; Wilson, Wil-son, 58G; Taft, 3G2. The straw vote In southern Utah is not out of proportion to the vote in Pittsburg in favor of Roosovelt, |
