Show THOUSANDS ATTEND OUTING The president of tho Retail Merchants Mer-chants association Is authority for the statement that there wero 6,000 people at tho merchants' outing in Ogden canyon Wednesday afternoon. Salt Lake sent a big delegation of manufacturers and business busi-ness men, and Brigham and Logan wero also well represented. Mayor A. G. Fell was scheduled to deliver the address of welcome, but was unable to do so because of the fact that ho was In attendance at tho funeral of tho late L. B. Balch. Judge Howell delivered a brief address In which he complimented the merchants on the success of their outing and commended their support of home factories. Arthur Parsons, president of the Utah Credit Men's association, gave a brief talk on tho credit system. Bishop Henry M. Blood, president of tho "Utah and Idaho Grain Dealers association, roado a brief address on milling and the part tho merchants play In the upbuilding of home Industry. In-dustry. J S. Carver spoke for tho merchants mer-chants and welcomed all of the visitors visi-tors to Hermitago grove and bade them enjoy themselves The music and literary program was a very en-Joyablo en-Joyablo one, and the contests that were indulged in afterward wore interesting in-teresting and amusing. Jack Hnrbertson, the local wrestler, made good on his agreement to throw ten local amateur grapplers in one hour The only man who gave him any trouble as Al Walters, who lasted two minutes and thlrty-fle seconds.
