Fall plowing is in progress and the farmers are preparing to seed a largo acreage J. C. Galo, a former contractor of Ogden, has moved mov-ed his family to a homestead In that country and js Just now busy breaking break-ing up sagebrush ground for' plowing and sowing. Mr. Browning lias plowed his ground and, in the course of the next week or more, he will seed fifty acres of rye, which grows luxuriantly in that section and soils well on tho market. Ryo has to bo seeded only once In threo years. The former chief claims that the poople of the arid region of southern Utah are well pleased with thoir holdings and they expect to develop a thriving farming section. |
