Show -oo state news I RUNAWAY BOYS HELD. Provo. Sept. IS. Three boys were picked up by Chief of Police W F. Giles at tho jungles near the depot yesterday morning and brought to the city jail, where two of the trio were turned over to Probation Officer B F. Roper. The youngest of the boys, John Blackwell, says ho ran away from his home In Colorado He Ik 16 years of age and says ho has property left him by his father In Kentucky. His guardian, Dr. J. W. Aldrldge. the boy says, lives at Clay, Ky Hayden Sheppard, the other boy in custody of Probation Officer B. F. Roper, says ho will be 17 years old today. His home Is in Lamar, Mo. Arthur Zleffle, 19 years of age, was charged with vagrancy by Chief Giles and was sentenced to five days In the cltv jail. Zleffle's home Is in Toledo, Ohio. Officer Roper will at once comrauu-icato comrauu-icato with tho boys parents. Black-well Black-well and Sheppard were set to picking fruit on the farm of Andrew NIelson on Provo bench. |
