Show M'DONALD WANTS HIS MONEY BACK Tho petition of Edward McDonald, presented to the city commissioners last evening, for a refund of $15 which he paid Into the coffers of tho municipal court as a fine for assaulting assault-ing Amanda Johnson was referred to the superintendent of public affairs and finance. In his communication, Mr McDonald explained that he is in rather stralghtoncd circumstances and that ho cannot well afford to spend $15 In fines. He said It was nothing more than a little family row and that he felt that ho Bhould not bo separated from $15 on account of it. He has a famllv and needs all the money bo can get hold of. Ho stated that ho borrowed the monoy to pay the fine. The matter of adjusting paving taxes In district 101 was referred to tho superintendent of streets. nn |
