Show WILL JOIN IN THE WELCOMETO TEDDY Salt Lake, Sept 10 The Progressives Progres-sives of the state aro completing plans for the stato convention to be held at Ogden next Friday, at which the speech of Colonel Roosevelt will bo tho feature. Indications are that Nephl L. Morris will be named for governor by acclamation and that George N. Lawrence of Salt Lako and LoniB Larson of Sanpete will bo named for congress. Delegates from Provo, Salt Lake and points between Provo and Ogden will go to the convention by special train over the Denver & Rio Grande, leaving Provo at 7 o'clock In tho morning and Salt Lake at 8:45, and returning at the conclusion of Colonel Roosevelt's speech. Arrangements have been made for a brief stop of the colonel's train at Cache Junction en route from Idaho to Ogden. Tho colonel will deliver a brief speech from the rear of the train at that little town. Efforts are being mado to have him also give a brief address at Brigham City. The Progressives declare that since the Republican stato convention there have been many converts to the Progressive Pro-gressive party, especially In'thls county. coun-ty. The Progressive leaders say that tho sentiment hi the county outside of the city is very strong W. D Livingston Living-ston and Nephl L. Morris will address a Progressive meeting tonight at Rlverton, where it is declared that the Progressive sentiment is particularly strong. |
