Tho Alaska Democratic convention appeared appear-ed to be hopelessly divided when tho warring factions that separated after af-ter a stormy session last night reassembled re-assembled their forces today. The split had left the convention hall in possession of tho contestants led by John Moo of Fairbanks. Last night's disturbance began when the territorial committee chairman chair-man called for nominations for temporary tem-porary chairman Moo .nominated William O'Connor of Cordova, who ran two years ago for delegate to congress on the labor ticket. Judge Cobb of Juneau nominated nomi-nated Edmund Smith of Valdez. Moe protested against confining the voting, as pioposed, to listed delegates. He was supported ny Martin Harris of Fairbanks, the minority candidatofor congressional delegate, O'Connor and others. A bitter exchange of personalities ensued, and when the tumult was at Its height, Moc called for a viva vote and declared O'Connor elected This announcement precipitated a rush to seizo the chair and take the credentials from the committee secretary. sec-retary. Chairs and other handy weapons wea-pons were brandished and the committee com-mittee sent for deputv marshals who succoeded in lestorlng a semblance of order. During the dinner recess the opposition opposi-tion seized the hall, placed O'Connor O'Con-nor in the chair and organized a rump convention.
