Show . uu GAlli'SEASON WILL BEGOOD OIE It is estimated that the tomato crop In Webor county this year will be greater than it was last year ajid' that there will be something like a half million cases canned during the season There are sixteen canneries in the county and only seven or eight of them will be used in tho work of the season. The canneries are idle at this time, because the early crop, such as peas, string beans, cherries and apricots have been disposed of in a manner satisfactory to tho canning men and the orchardlsts. The quantity of apricots and cherrieB for canning was short this year but the quality is greatly Improved over that of last year, s A L. Brewer, who manages a number num-ber of canning factories in the county, states that the -output this year Is going to be more satisfactory than before be-fore and that the canneries could handle twice as much canned gooaa if thev could be supplied wfth tho products. Ever thing Is already sold, he says, at a good figure and everv-thing everv-thing to be turned into a finished product for the entire season has been bargained for. There have been a number of biiyers from tho cast and south In Weber county this season sea-son to contract for all the canned stuffs that can hq put up.
