Show FISHER FAMILY HOLDSJEUNIPI A very pleasant affair was tho family fam-ily reunion Thursday at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher widow of the late Robert Fisher of Farr West, the occasion being tho 80th birthday of the hostess Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fisher came to Utah as pioneers in 1SC2, settling at Farr West, which place has been the family homo eor since. Mr. Fisher having died seventeen years ago leaving leav-ing his wife and seven children. Of that number one has since pasaod away Ivorojizo Fisher, the eldest son, who died a year ago. Mrs. Elizabeth Msher rejoices In a largo posterity, having thirty-live grand chlljren and nine great-grandchildren, most of whom wore present to take part In tho celebration of Thursday. Besides these there were numerous other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews from various parts of Utah, Nevada and Idaho, also neighbors neigh-bors and friends about seventy in all Among tho happy throng were noticed no-ticed Mrs Leah Fisher, widow of Lo- r renzo, and her son ami daughtor, Roy ' and Viola. Mr. and Mrs. William Fisher and children of Burlev, Mrs. Margaret Spracher and son of the same place Mrs. Elizabeth Wardle, two sons and one daughter of Tonopah. From Mantl was Miss Mayme Hall. The Ogden friends were many. The old homestead was made more picturesque than usual with suitable decorations, the grove, which belongs to the estate, being tho scene of the banquet The long tables were ornamented orna-mented with many cut flowers and a sumptuous repast was served, to which all did ample justice. Social converpe nnd old-time reminiscences made a day which will long be a pleasant memory to the visitors, several of whom will enjoy Mrs. Fisher's hospitality for a week or more. At the close or the day's festiviyes the departing guests united in hearty wishes that their beloved hostess might live to celebrate many more such delightful anniversaries as her 80th birthday |
