Show BEAVER COPPER TO SINK TO 300 LEVEL General Manager Lewis Merriman of the Beaver Copper said that when he inspected the property in Beaver county a few days ago he found it in good shape, and declared that it ought to make a mine. On the 20 0-foot 0-foot level the miners had followed the streak of rich ore for 200 feet. It was irregular, however. He brought up samples which carry as high as 30 per cent copper and 300 up to more than 1000 ounces in silver sil-ver to the ton. He proposes that the shaft be sunk another 100 to 200 feet and drift out under a prominent blowout. In one place he examined the country was stained across .40 feet. He thinks commercial deposits are deeper. A small assessment will be" levied to carry on, the work. Herald-Republican. |
