Show A RECEPTION FOR THE REV. OWNBY On last Friday evening occurred one of the most delightful receptions 'that has been held in Milford for a long time. The occasion was- In honor hon-or of Rev. A. W. Ownby, the newly appointed pastor of the M. E. church, and the town people of all denominations denomin-ations came out to welcome him and get acquainted. The affair was very informal and one of the first things on the program was the Introduction, Introduc-tion, each person announcing the name of their neighbor on the right. After that the following took part In the program: Singing, "Blest Be The Tie," by the Congregation Vocal Solo Mrs. Erb Piano Solo Mrs. Trlbole Vocal Solo W. T. Morris Reading Mrs. Cottrell Vocal Solo Mrs. Wm. Dobson accompanied by Mrs. Ingols Reading Bishop Burns ' Accordeon .". Mr. Schow Vocal Solo.. ..Miss Galno, of Callente Sextette Messrs. Burns, Cottrell, Bird, Morris, Webster, Arrington Mr. Ownby also made a few remarks. The supper was one of the principal princi-pal events of the evening. It was served at a long table, which was beautifully decorated, carnations being be-ing the principal flowers. The menu was delicious and nicely served. This event will long be remembered remember-ed by those fortunate enough to be there. |
