Show w HIGH SCHOOL NOTES Milford Makes Good Showing In Beaver The Milford faculty played the combined faculties of the county, a game of basket ball which resulted rather badly for them although they played a splendid game all the way through. The game started out with lots of pep and by some good passing the Milford fellows succeeded in caging cag-ing the first field basket. The battle bat-tle raged hot through the entire game and neither side had any time to lose, and at the end the county was ahead, the score being 34 to 30. Mr. Wilkinson was able to knock the ball to any part of the floor from center although the other center was three inches the taller. Mr. McAlister and Mr. Wells had on their fighting clothes and left their marks on several of their opponents. op-ponents. Mr. Bates and Mr. Mofris played a splendid game in thoir respective positions, the former playing guard and the latter forward. The line-up was as follows: Milford County Morris forward Larson McAlister forward Hanson Wilkinson center Barton Bates guard Joseph Wells guard de Jong Institute was held the first thrcn days of the week and from all reports re-ports the teachers present received some very good Instructions. The high school team won from the town team with a score of 41 to 13 last Friday night and with a little lit-tle more coaching they are hoping to win first place In their division this year. The Southern division 1b made up of the following teams: Division No. 1 Milford, Fillmore. Hinckley, Minersville. Division No. 2 Beaver, Parowan, 'Cedar, St. George. 1 The Costume Party given in the gymnasium last Friday night was a great success and a very good timn was enjoyed by all. The teachers are all Hpendlng Thanksgiving at their homes. |
