Show ROAD IS ALMOST COMPLETED. Robert Johnson, one of the hustling hust-ling residents of a hustling locality, came in from Malone Saturday, on a brief business trip. While in Milford, a News representative repre-sentative had en interesting talk with Mr. Johnson, relative to the new road work being pushed in his section o Millard county. Mr. Johnson states that there yet remains but of a mile of road to be completed in Millard county, the list link connecting that county with Beaver county, and that not only has rapid progress been made but that an excellent road has been constructed. With the well-known enterprise and spirit of co-operation which have characterized the Malonites heretofore, the men of that part of Millard county have given the free use of their teams and scrapers and their own personal time to this much needed improvement, and, as a result, there will be a good highway high-way from Antelope Point to the Beaver county line, at a cost of not over $70 per mile for labor. Iron county authorities have agreed to furnish the lumber for the culverts, where needed. Among those who have been largely instrumental in bringing this worthy achievement to pass, the following should be given honorary hon-orary mention: W. E. Dryden, C. E. Oliver, John A. King, George Dhyse, Walter James, H. A. Stall, G. C. Guthrie, O. C. Lewis, H. N. Helwig, Frank Hacker, Peter Buller, Bul-ler, Jack McCarthy, John D. Burt and Robert Johnson. Mr. Clarence Cline, of the well-known firm of Cline & Boyer, and D. A. McLease of the East Antelope mine, have also been of help in the enterprise. It is now "up to" Beaver county to take up the good work at her county coun-ty line on the north and complete the road to Milford. |
