The Democrats of Beaver recently opened the campaign by holding one of the largest rallies ever held locally. lo-cally. The Opera House was crowded to capacity, aisles and galleries being filled with folks anxious to hear the Hon. Milton H. Welling and Hon. AV. H. King, candidates, respectively, for Congress and the United States Senate. At the close of the addresses, at least seven hundred people arose and cheered for President Wilson. Local Democrats are very hopeful of the successful outcome of the national nation-al campaign and are counting on the aid of the Progressives. On September 25th, Murdock Academy Acad-emy opened on its nineteenth year, with an enrolment of between 120 and 130 students, and all indications point to the most successful year in the history of the institution. Many students who have been attending other schools, have returned to Murdock, Mur-dock, fully realizing it to be one of the best schools in the state. Edmond H. Mc-Knight, Mc-Knight, and Miss Cassie Myers were participants in. la double wedding which took place at the county Recorder's Re-corder's office, on the 25th inst., the ceremony being performed by County Clerk White, and at 9:30 a. m., a wedding breakfast was served at the residence of Mrs. Dorrity. The young people are well known throughout the county, and all their friends extend hearty congratulations. congratula-tions. Earl Alverson and Dr. Shepherd have just returned from Salt Lake, where they contracted for delivery of their ore from the Rattler mine, Lincoln district. They have a good vein of high-grade shipping material, which promises to rival the Creole. Republicans of Beaver held their Primary last night, to elect delegates to the County convention, which meets in Milford, Saturday.
