Palmer motored mot-ored to Provo, there being Joined by their daughter, Phyllis, a student stu-dent at Brigham Young university this past year, in a trip to Salt Lake. The Pierian club met at the home of Mrs. L.- G. Clay Monday evening. After the lesson and current cur-rent topics were read and discussed, discuss-ed, dainty refreshments were erv-' erv-' ed by the hostes. j Mr. and Mra. Cyril Beecher of : Brigham City was here last Thursday, Thurs-day, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Healington. Friday both I families spent the day visiting in j southern Utah parka. ' . . Editor and Mrs. David S. Williams Wil-liams returned Monday from Logan, Lo-gan, where they accompanied their daughter" Lois, who is taking the six-weeks summer school course at the U. S. A. C. following her first year of- teaching as one of the local first grade teachers. In company com-pany with Misses Helen Kinney of Milford and Beth Low of Beaver, Lois is located in a cozy little apartment on the very brow of College hill. E. W. Clay, "Sawtooth judge" from Burbank, was in town Tuesday Tues-day on his way to Fillmore, accompanying ac-companying Tom Dearden and others from west Millard county, who went there for trial of a law suit in which Sam Cline represented represent-ed Mr. Dearden as defendant. Miss Katherine Hendrickson was able to leave the hospital Tuesday following a period of treatment for an impacted tooth. The case was an extremely aggravated one but skilfully ttended to by Dr. L. F. Kohler, local dentist, according to Dr. R. R. Shannon, who assisted. assist-ed. ;j Milford M. I. A. will be represented repre-sented in the dance revue at Salt Lake this week by Misses Itha Patterson Pat-terson and Marie Angell, Norman Baxter and Walden Blackburn. The young people are being accompanied accom-panied to Salt Lake by Bishop and Mrs. E. H. Bird and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Baker. Mr. and Mrs. George Litchfield returned home Saturday from a visit of several weeks in Michigan and the middle west, driving home a new car purchased through the W. R. Martin garage. While the greater part of- the time was spent in and near Elsie, Michigan, old home town of our popular veteran town dad, Mr. Litchfield not having hav-ing been .back since he left there some 35 years ago, they spent considerable con-siderable time in other sections. The drive from Denver to Milford, over 800 miles, was made in one jump, |
