Show 4-H Club Aide f - - ft i Fern SHipi . Miss Fern Shipley of Preston, Idaho, Utah State Agricultural college graduate of 1933, has been recently appointed assistant state 4-H club leader by the board of trustees of the college. Miss Shipley Ship-ley will assist D. P. Murray, state leader, in making programs and plans for more than 5000 rural boys and girls in the state. While in college she was president presi-dent of the state home economics clubs; president of the local chapter chap-ter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, national na-tional home economics fraternity, and secretary of that organization for two years. She also won that fraternity's scholarship given to the girl l'egistered in the school of home economics who makes the best record during her freshman year. For five years she worked I part time as a stenographer in the 4-H club office of the extension i service. ! Following graduation she taught i home economics at the South Sum-i Sum-i mit high school at Kamas, and i later accepted a position as secre-, secre-, tatry to the district manager of ;the Utah Power and Light com-I com-I pany at Preston, the position she I held until her recent appointment. |
