Show I- IDr.L A.Culmsee Nada Postmaster Victim of Stroke Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the M. K. church for Dr. L. A. Culmsee, for the past 23 years postmaster and storekeeper at Nada,' 22 miles south of Milford. The service was conducted by Miss Lucile Estes, deaconess-pastor of the church, with D. C. lleslington, principal of the Milford elementary school, speaking briefly. Later in the day the body was taken to Provo, where interment took place Thursday. Thurs-day. Dr. Culmsee was born in Copenhagen, Copen-hagen, Denmark, July 21, 18G3, and came to America at the age of, 19 years, locating in Iowa. He received receiv-ed his medical degree from the University of Iowa, class of '9o, later going abroad for post graduate gradu-ate work following a few years of practice in Iowa. He was married to Clara B. Hansen of St. Ansgar, Iowa, who survives him, together with a daughter, Mrs. Evan Case-nave Case-nave of San Francisco; a son, Carlton Culmsee of Provo, instructor instruc-tor of journalism at Brigham Young university; and a foster daughter, Mrs. Corine Debkey, of North Cove, Washington. Dr. Culmsee died very suddenly Saturday at his home in Nada, victim of a stroke, a previous one having occurred about a year ago. Coming to Utah for his health, Dr. Culmsee became greatly attached at-tached to the west and especially to the section where he chose to spend the remainder of his days, his faith and boosting spirit being a source of constant inspiration to neighbors and others with whom he came in contact. |
