Show Military Burial Is Given To Remains Of Milford Soldier Buried in the local cemetery with "full military honors befitting one of Uncle Sam's soldiers, funeral services were held Thursday afternoon after-noon of last week for Leonard A. Clements, 18, victim of an automobile automo-bile accident near Bountiful the preceding Tuesday night. The services ser-vices were held at the L. D. S. chapel, in charge of Bishop E. H. Bird, who, with Principal E. R. Moody of the local high - school, were the speakers. Two musical numbers were given by - the high school chorus and Dan Ferguson gave a vocal solo. Milford high school girls acted as flower girls and a military escort and firing squad were furnished from local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars organizations. The local Odd Fellows lodge provided an escort from the train to the home on arrival of the body Harold A. Clements was bom in Milford February 14, 1918, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Clements. Clem-ents. He attended the Milford grade school, which he completed, and had attended the local high school. He took the citizens military mili-tary training corps course at Fort Douglas last year, there winning high honors in marksmanship and athletics. He enlisted in the 38th infantry" last January and had been stationed at Fort Douglas until the time of his death. He is. survived by his parents and the following ' sisters and brothers: Mrs. John Ellison of Magna, Mrs. Arvella Albright, Mrs. Mell Moore and Charles W. Clements of Caliente, Nevada, and Jack Clements of Milford. |
