Show Benefit Play Set For Monday Eve Monday night is the date and the high school auditorium the place for presentation of "The I Bachelor's Wife," sparkling three- act comedy being presented by local lo-cal talent as a benefit for Junior League baseball. A mere glance at the cast of characters will give ample assurance of a very fine evening's entertainment and it is hoped that the response of local people to -this plea for help in a worthy cause will be responded to in a generous manner. Chadwick ....Eva Stonehocker Mr. Kershaw Cass Koot The Baby Jean Lanette Arvin Mrs. Pix'ton Gladys Martin Mr. Pixton Bobby Nichols "Bachelor's Wife" is the story of a London "Play-boy" who is to receive re-ceive an inheritance from the estate of a wealthy aunt when he is married and promises to be a model husband. He gets into trouble when he deceives his trustee trus-tee and obtains a lot of money under false pretenses, claiming to have a wife when that is not a fact. His difficulties are increased when his trustee threatens to investigate in-vestigate and he tries to persuade his fiancee and her aunt to be his wife for a few hours. He finally bribes his house maid to be his wife for 24 hours, only to involve himself with her husband. Don't fail- to see how much trouble one man can have in one day. o |
