Show LOCALS and PERSONALS Bert Nichols was ill the latter part of last week anil a few clays of this week with tonsilitis incurred while spending a short time fishing at the lakes. Monte Copeland went to Navajo Lake fishing last Thursday and Friday. Fri-day. He took with him his son, Carlos, Car-los, Leroy Patterson, Jim Femley, and Buddy Hutchins. The fishermen report poor luck, Navajo Lake isn't what it used to be. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gadberry and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Malstrom returned from Fish Lake Sunday, after a short vacation spent at that place. Mr. and Mrs. D. Batchelor and sons, of Santa Maria, California, are visiting visit-ing with Mrs. Batchelor's sister, Mrs. C. 0. Sportsman, and Mr. Sportsman. Raymond Taylor was in Provo and Salt Lake most of this week. A. J. McMullen, of the Beaver Copper Cop-per Company, was in Milford last Thursday. Ira Gardner of Richfield, was in Milford last week. E. H. Papke, of Los Angeles, was in Milford last Thursday. Mr. Papke is Chief Boiler Inspector on this line of the Union Pacific. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Clark, of Muc-kay, Muc-kay, Idaho, were here last Friday. Mr. Clark was doing some mine assessment as-sessment work. G. D. Kennedy and Wm. N. Walker of Salt Lake City, were here this week with their big display of Christmas Christ-mas holiday goods. Ken Smith, slot-machine man, was calling on Milford merchants Monday. Mon-day. L. F. Block, of Salt Lake, was in Milford this week on mining business. busi-ness. Bill Nichols has been sick for the past eight or nine days with an illness ill-ness that seems to be the flu. Jos. R. Murdock was ill the first part of the week from a slight attack of the flu. 'Cat' Thompson, basketball flash on Montana State's championship team, was in Milford this week on business. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gardner have gone to Eureka for several days. From there, they will go to Salt Lake where Mr. Gardner will undergo an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harris, accompanied accom-panied by the former's sister, of Beaver, Beav-er, went to Springville this week to spend a few days with Mrs. Harris' brother. Mrs. M. Ashworth was in town last week from Roosevelt Hot Springs. |
