Show UNPRECEDENTED RECORDS MADE BY PARK VISITORS Zion National Park, Utah, June 25 ' For the season to date, a total of 10,089 persons, representing 31 states, District of Columbia, Hawaii, three provinces, of Canada, Sweden, and South Africa, have passed through the gates of Zion National Park, it was announced by E. T. Scoyen, Park Superintendent, here today. This figure fig-ure is practically double last years total for the same period of 5,399. Private motor travel, as usual, makes up the greater part of the total with 9,499 persons in 2,840 autos. The remainder or 590, came by stage from the end of the rails at Cedar City. Although travel is reaching record breaking totals, there are still plenty of accomodations for everyone who may enter the park, both at Zion Lodge and the public auto camp. According to most recent information informa-tion all-roads leading to Zion Park are in excellent condition. Roads to ' Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, the Kaibab Forest, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are also reported as. being in good condition. |
