Show Holden Boy Wins Scholarship in 4-H Club Work John J. Stephenson of Holden has received the 1944 Carl R. Gray scholarship for his outstanding participation par-ticipation in 4-H club work. This is a $100 scholarship to any State Agricultural College and is given by the Union Pacific Railroad. John has been an active student at Millard high school. Since graduation grad-uation he has acted as a 4-H club leader in Holden. He has carried several 4-H Club projects in beef feeding. John has several very good registered hereford cattle of his own. He has demonstrated good beef feeding. His calves have been either first or second place winners for the past three years at tre Millard Mil-lard Junior Livestock Show, Delma Jean Webb of Hinckley was named alternate. Delma has completed four years of sewing. Last year she was named County winner with her complete castume. She was awarded a $25 war bond as a state winner in the Safety Contest which she entered. This year Delma plans to complete com-plete her fifth clothing project as well as act as a leader in a first year Home Furnishing project. |
