Show Red Cioss Drive Goes Over Top ; Every Community Reports As Over the Top At the Red Cross lea held Saturday Sat-urday in the Delta City Hall, representatives rep-resentatives from each of the communities com-munities of West Millard, with the exception of Lynndyl and the Topaz To-paz WRA, reported as being over their quotas in the Red Cross drive. Oasis was the first to report going over the top, and it was done prior to the tea. They had a quota of $165 and raised $212.15. Lynndyl has not yet started the drive in ernest there. They have canvassed about one-third of the town and have raised $125.00 and at this rate will go well over their quota. The man in charge of the drive at Topaz left for another position and so the drive was delayed de-layed there, but will be completed this week. Mrs. Helen Baker ' reports that the drive has exceeded expectations, expecta-tions, both in the completion of it and the generous donations, and is very well pleased with the response re-sponse of the people, and especially especi-ally the business houses of Delta who donated very handsomely. The quota for West Millard was $4400 and it will be very good news to those in the service to know that West Millard has surpassed that figure, in the very early part of the drive. |
