Show OakCity . . . Mrs. Harold Anderson The beautification campaign is still going on in Oak City. A bulldozer bull-dozer has been hired and is doing do-ing a clean-up job of removing old trees, digging ditches and also basements for new homes. Mr. and Mrs. Carwin Nielson and young daughter, of Clearfield, have been visiting here with relatives. Miss Jennie Olson and Viola Talbot Tal-bot returned to Clearfield with them to visit for a few days. Oak City had 13 students who graduated this year from the Delta high school. The graduates were Francis Anderson, Edith Anderson, Barbara Anderson, Myron Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Roma Christensen, Ruby M. Christensen, Calvin Dutson, Arlene East, Ramona Finlinson, Richard Finlinson, Ralph Lovell, Edsel Nielson Niel-son and Gayle Nielson. Edith Anderson And-erson received the Edith L. Finlinson Fin-linson award and also a scholarship scholar-ship to the B. Y. U. Mrs.- Dale and her 3 children, from Indiana, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson. Finlin-son. Mrs. Mary Finlinson and her son, Esdras, have gone to Rexburg, Idaho, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lyman and family. Ramona and Reece Finlinson are visiting this week in Provo. Last Friday night the girls of the 2nd. Int. department in Sunday school gave a party for the boys of the class. The mothers were also al-so invited. The party was held at the home of Mrs. LeRoy Anderson. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Dewain Finlinson, Mr. & Mrs. Butron Lovell, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roper went to Provo to the birthday celebration cele-bration of Bruce Finlinson which was a party given in his honor on Saturday evening. Saturday the 4-H club girls under un-der the direction of Merelen Lovell, Lo-vell, met at her home and organized organ-ized their club. The officers chosen chos-en were, Margene Anderson, president; pres-ident; Shirley Anderson, vice president; pres-ident; Afton Roper, secertary; the cheer leaders were Margaret Sheriff and Meredith Anderson; reporter, LaRue Lovell. The Aaronic priesthood gave the program Sunday evening. Along with musical numbers by the boys. Talks were given by Christian Anderson, And-erson, Richard Finlinson, Julian Finlinson and Scott Sheriff. The M-Men and Gleaner Girls held their fireside chat Sunday evening at the home of Leoyd Lovell. Lo-vell. Talks were given by Mrs. Ruby Dale, who is visiting from Indianan, and Bryce Finlinson, who is home on furluogh. Cake and root beer were served. |
