Show . New Bank Opens Monday, June 3; Writes Depoitors The Commercial Bank of Delta will open for business on Monday morning, June 3, in the same location loca-tion as the former bank. The new bank has a large number of local stockholders and three local men, C. M. Pace, Orran Ashby and J. Val Styler are directors. The president is P. P. Thomas; Max Thomas, as vice president; Joseph Hanson vice president; Otis Walch, cashier, and Ward Killpack, assistant cashier. Letters have been mailed to the depositors of the Delta Branch Bank explaining the status of their accounts; a new checkbook; and a new signature card which the depositors de-positors are asked to return after all parties who will use the account ac-count have signed the card. The bank is a member of the Federal Fed-eral Deposit Insurance Corporation and all accounts up to $5,000 are fully insured. Although the name is similar to the other banks, the local bank is independent from any group or system of banking in the state. , Patrons of the two banks, The Commercial Bank of Nephi and The Commercial Bank of Delta are cautioned to use only the checks for the bank in which they have an account, as the two banks are separate sep-arate institutions. In case a patron of the Nephi bank desires to transfer trans-fer his account to the Delta bank, the request must be sent to Nephi in writing to complete the transfer. trans-fer. No change has been made in the safe deposit boxes or in escrow contracts. The officers of the new bank are desirous that its patrons and patrons pat-rons of the Delta Branch Bank, read the letters mailed to them, sign and return the signature card so that the details of transferring the accounts may be done as soon as possible. They also ask that on Monday all unused cheeks on the Delta Branch Bank be destroyed so as to lessen any confusion that may result from writing checks in the future. I |
