Mrs. Alta Thumas aad chidren, who have been visiting her parents, M-S Jim Smith, will leave for Magna Mag-na where she will make her home until her husband returns from overseas. Ray Miller spent Sunday in Mil-ford Mil-ford visting his wife and small daughter, who is in the hospital with a broken leg. They are expecting ex-pecting to come home Monday. Mrs. Louise Clark returned to Salt Lake Monday, but will return Wednesday for a few weeks visit with her parents, M-S C. E. Simpson. Simp-son. Fiances Allen entertained the regular class of 4-H girls Monday afternoon at her home. Candy and nuts were served to Verla lvie, Crystal Nielson, Vada lvie and Bonnie Bon-nie Howard. M-S Rudger Wiley and family, Mrs. Ruth Talbot and two sons, Carl and Vee are enjoying a fishing fish-ing trip at Panguitch. M-S Ballard Dutson and small son, also Lynn Turner of Bluffdale spent Sunday visiting M-S John Dutson. Mrs. Dutson and son, Larry, returned with them. Ballard and La Var are employed by the Government at Clearfield. Miss Jeanette Overson is spending spend-ing the summer visiting in Brigham City. Miss Marylin Terry has returned home after having spent a few weeks in Sugarhouse. Mrs. Clead Nielson's parents and her sister and husband, M-S Julian Jul-ian Rasmussen, were weekend visitors. vis-itors. M-S Mart Sheriff attended the funeral of Clifford Sheriff's oldest son, Wendell, who died in Murray. They also went to Fort Douglas & spent a few hours with their son, Pvt. Cleon Sheriff. Miss Nadine Sheriff returned to Ogden Monday. She has just recovered re-covered from a three weeks illness. Mrs. Annie Roper has gone to Beaver to spend a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Lydia Smith. M-S Louis Woodbury have as their guest, their sister, Miss Doris Warner of Salt Lake City. M-S Dick Hayes went to Oak City swimming and then to the canyon for a hot supper. Miss Frances Allen and Mrs. E-' dith Lovell entertained the Lonely Girls of Lynndyl at a bonfire party Moriday evening. A potluck supper was enjoyed and the following girls participated: Donna lvie, Marilyn Terry, Barbara Haye-s, Dawn Roper, Ruby Allen, Colleen Nielson, Donna Sheriff, Cherie Mills, Nina and Laura Lau-ra Talbot, Emagene Greathouse, Janeane Simpson, Gladys Banks, Donna Mae Nielson and Eldonna Coleman. Mrs. Alta Thomas and Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia entertained at a little party Tuesday evening, the ocassion being be-ing both of their wedding anniversaries. anniver-saries. Mrs. Jerome lvie and Harold returned re-turned home Tuesday after having spent ten days in Wiilard with M-S M-S Harvey Talbot. They also spent one day In Salt Lake, and had a very enjoyable trip to Malad, Ida. Miss Betty Roundy went to Escal-ente Escal-ente Tuesday to see her mother, who has just recently come home from the Cedar City hospital after having a serious operation. Mrs. Flprence Woodbury has her niece, Betty Lynn of Los Angeles, visiting her for the summer. Alton Wade of Fillmore visited with Merrill Nielson for a few days. M-S Clead Nielson took him home and attended their family reunion of the Ashbys. Carmen Nielson came from Cedar City to be there. It was held on the lawn at the home of M-S Alma Anderson. A de-Iiscious de-Iiscious dinner was served to 45 members of the family. M-S Reed Larsen and Beverly-have Beverly-have gone to Portland to attend a meeting for the car men. Mr. Larsen Lar-sen is the chairman. |
