M. Jensen. M-S L. H. Moulton received word from their son Tom that he was in Seattle and would be home soon on furlough. Mrs. Ivo Ogden has her niece and r nephew of Nevada visiting at her home. ' The MIA Mothers' and Daughters' Day was held Thursday afternoon 1 on Mrs. Bert Sanford's lawn. The ; following-program was given. A bouquet of roses was present-i present-i ed to the oldest mother, and to the youngest a spray was given, to the mother with the most daughters present, and to the mother with the most children in the services, i Those receiving these flowers were Mrs. E. T. Thornton, Mrs. Laura Erickson, Mrs. Eva Dean Moody, Mrs. Will Bunker, and Mrs. L. H. Moulton. Stake president Helen Baker was present and spoke. A duet, Helen Hel-en Turner and Virginia Hendie. A prayer by Mary Henrie. Ice cream and cake were served to over 90 mothers and daughters. Sweetpea corsages were presented to each mother and daughter present. Sunday evening the Primary presented pre-sented a very fine program given by the Sea Gull graduating class and their leader, Mrs. Alta Anderson. Ander-son. The Bishopric and the officers of the auxiliary organizations met on Tuesday evening and planned a ward outing to be held in Oak City canyon on Aug. 30. Every member of Sutherland is cordially invited to be there. A full day's program is being planned by the committee in charge. |
