Show To Lecture with Colored Pictures Douglas L. Collier, M. D., and his wife, who is also a doctor, lived 16 years in Thailand. They served as medical missionaries under the auspices of the Board of Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian church of the United States. Dr. Collier was medical advisor to the government gov-ernment of Thailand. lie built and took charge of a modern hospital hos-pital there. Dr. Collier did extensive original research in the field of leprosy and is recognized as one of the foremost fore-most authoritiees in the world on that disease. The Colliers were on furlough in the United States when the present pres-ent war broke out. For the past year Dr. Collier has been in charge of the government hospital at Topaz. To-paz. They plan to return to Thailand Thai-land as soon as possible. Dr. Collier will show colored pictures pic-tures and lecture on his Thailand work at the Community Church on Sunday, August 12 at 8:30 p. m. The public is cordially invited to attend. William Crosby Ross, D. D. will preach at 11.00 a. m. on Sunday, August 19. Sunday School will be held as usual us-ual next Sunday at 10 a. m.. Mr. Van Horn, Superintendent. |
