Show i Delta High : School Notes . . . Junior Prom, March 31 . . . The big event of the season will be held Friday, March 31, in the Delta High gym. Yes, you guessed ' it right! What else could it be, but the annual Junior Prom. The theme "In the Garden of Tomorrow," has 1 been cleverly carried out in appro-j appro-j priate and beautiful decorations. Roses, moonlight, a wishing well. ; flowered trellises, soft lights, and ' sweet music will all help to make you forget everything but beauty and romance. ' Come and dance for one en-' en-' chanted evening in our "Garden of ' Tomorrow." The admission is SI. 25 per couple and extra ladies 25c. Everyone is ; cordially invited. Lyceum to Be Presented . . . Another entertaining lyceum will 1 be presented at the Delta High school by the Dyreng Sisters, a ; musical trio. This program will be Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. and will be as follows: Military Music. Short Patriotic Talk. Piano Solos Concert Etude McDowell Waltz in D Flat Chopin Tarantelle Liszt Vocal Solos Musetta's Waltz Song From LaBoheme Habenara From Carmen Piano Duets 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody Liszt Nola Vocal Duets Liebestraum Liszt Selected Semi-Classics Italian Street Song Somewhere, a Voice Is Calling Swiss Echo Two Pianos Arensky Waltz Arensky Dance of Sugar Plumb Fairy Tschaikowsky Concerto in D Flat Minor Tschaikowsky This is the season's outstanding musical attraction and the public is invited to attend. Admission will be 25c and for students who have cards, it will be free. Delta Chapter Holds FFA Day . . . The Delta chapter held an FFA Day last Friday at the high school. The day began with an FFA assembly as-sembly for the student body. The assembly featured an awarding program by the Lions club which awarded 13 Food for Victory certificates cer-tificates to members of the Delta chapter for outstanding production and marketing of vital food. Lion Therol Larsen of the Lion Agricultural Agricul-tural Committee made the awards on behalf of the club. Other numbers num-bers on the program were: Eugene Sanford's winning Chapter Agricultural Agricul-tural oration, FFA quartet, saxophone saxo-phone and accordion solos and presentation pre-sentation of the Greenhand (new chapter members). The Greenhands were then initiated ini-tiated in the afternoon, they also froze ice cream for the Home Econ. FFA Ice Crean bust and dancing party which was held Friday night. This ice cream was mixed by Mr. Glen Horton of the Brooklawn Creamery for the chapter. FFA Elects Officers . . . The Delta chapter FFA held their |
