Show Reckless Driving Charge Brings 25 Days Dan Thompson was arrested this past Sunday on a charge of reckless reck-less driving and was sentenced to 25 days in the Delta jail. He had been warned Saturday night to be a little less exuberant in his actions ac-tions and had his two liquor permits per-mits taken from him. Between ten and eleyen o'clock he drove his truck north through town tipping it upside down near the intersection intersec-tion north of the ball park that leads to the depot. The truck was only slightly damaged dam-aged and was put back on its wheels Sunday. Neither of the two occupants received even a scratch. The driver had no driver's license. Tuesday Oley Dekker backed a truck away from the curb near Van's building and had just stopped stop-ped to start forward again when Sam Hales drove into the back of the truck and stopped too. Sam's car was damaged around the radiator, radi-ator, but both parties assumed equal blame and made an amicable ami-cable settlement. |
