Show Impressive Rites Held for Lt. Ray Bunker Killed in Plane Crash While Training in Louisiana Airfield An impressive and well attended funeral ceremony was held Sunday in the Delta First Ward chapel for Lt. Ray M. Bunker, who was killed in a crash in Louisiana. The services serv-ices were under the direction of Bishop Bryant Larsen, of the Sutherland Suth-erland Ward. The funeral opened with the advancement of the colors led by George Cahoon of the American Legion. A ladies chorus composed of Mrs. Ray Smith, Julia Thornton, Mrs. Marvin Moody, Mrs. Bernard Jackson, Mrs. Brose Roberts and Mrs. Ferrel Walker, sang "Sometime "Some-time We Wonder." They were accompanied ac-companied by Eva Dean Moody. The opening prayer was by Bert Johnson. A history of the life of Lt. Bunker was given by Bishop Larsen. Lar-sen. Marvin Moody spoke and was followed with a song by Arva and Jerine Johnson, "In the Garden." They were accompanied by Dale Losee. Golden Erickson and Cutler henrie spoke. Morgan Edwards played a violin solo, accompanied by Hazel Walker. Bishop George R. Jackson and William E. Bunker spoke. Ward Moody sang a solo ac-companed ac-companed biy Mrs. Hannifin and Eva Dean Moody. Lieut. Connor who accompanied the body home spoke. The ladies chorus gave another an-other selection. The closing prayer was by John Adams. Burial was in the Delta Cemetery Ceme-tery with Owen Bunker dedicating the grave. |
