Show Mendon Notes. MENDON, June 12, 1000. Satur-day Satur-day Wellsvllle and Mendon's second nines crossed bats In a fine game of ball. Wellsvllle was walloped In line style. The score was 10 to 2 In favor of Mendon. Yesterday II. T. Richards' property had a narrow escape from lire. Several smrll boys set tire to a lot of cotton that had blown from tho trees. The cotton being so dry and so much of It on the ground, the tire got the best of them, and set the tec cream parlor on tire. The lire was put out with but little damage. Yesterday the primary annual was held In the meeting house. There was a good attendance, a program, picnic and dance. The llttlo tots had an enjoyable time. Miss Lizzie Maughan, teacher In the deaf and dumb school in Ogdeu, is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Ellas Davis. Annie Larsen has returned from Salt Lako where she has been for several months. Mrs. Lizzie Baker lias gone to Mad-son, Mad-son, Idaho, to spend a week -with her brother. Bertha Richards has gone to Garland Gar-land to stop with her sister a few weeks. Miss Burns, of Logan, has started to give music lessons again. Jesso T. Reese has gono to Benson ward to be away two weeks. Jennie Richards has gone to Logan to attend summer school. Miss Lowe, of Rock Springs, is visiting visit-ing Miss Eillc Jensen, t Peter Larsen has started to build a neat little home. |
